When I decided to go out on my own and become an entrepreneur, I wasn’t sure what it would look like, but I knew it would involve helping others tell their stories.

Since I was a youngster, writing stories have fascinated me, partly because I had such a horrible stutter; writing was a perfect alternative to speaking. I could still get my feelings across without having to utter a word. That’s the magic of writing; you transport into a different world without ever leaving this one.

My concept for a business began to take shape when I was writing for a corporate communications department years ago. I noticed that customers that were too small to hire in-house communication or marketing staff struggled to create content that reflects their values, benefits, and capabilities. I decided to offer my writing services to small companies to put them on a more even keel with their competition.

I provide business communications and marketing messaging to small businesses, including e-mails, websites, blogs, articles, to name a few.

My clients span various industries, including accounting, psychologists, automotive, engineering, IT, law, financial planners, photographers, mortgage lenders, plumbers, realtors, contractors, and more!

In 2013, I added a book development component to my business. After helping some clients write and organize their manuscripts, I decided to write a book about my son’s rare brain disorder and how it impacted our family. When I mentioned it to some friends, they liked the idea so much that we formed a writer’s circle.

It was that experience that not only helped me complete my book but contributed to the creation of my Author Your Book Workshops. To this day, I still use many of the techniques we used in that first group to help others develop their stories.

I hold a B.A. in Journalism from Rutgers University. The foundation it provided me has helped throughout my career as a writer.
